Dear Friends,
Since about 1981, I have asked hundreds of Friends, "What did Jesus come to do?" and I was told the following:
1) "He came to preach peace and tolerance!"
Jesus said: "I have not come to bring peace, but a sword."
2) "He came to improve the status of minorities and women!"
Jesus changed only two laws--divorce and Sabbath--neither of which improved the status of women. Jesus referred to Canaanites as "dogs" (servants) as did the other Jews of His day. He did not improve their status or repudiate the Curse of Canaan doctrine that all Jews in His day adhered to.
3) "He came to prepare the way for the greater Revelation of Muhammad!"
Jesus did tell His disciples that the Father would sent the Spirit of Truth in His Name, but that was NOT the main reason Jesus was sent.
4) "He came to write a book of Holy Laws."
Jesus wrote no book, and did not author a book of Holy Laws.
5) "He came to unite cities, as Moses united tribes, and Muhammad united nations!"
I've asked Baha'is "How did Jesus unite cities?" and they get a look of bewilderment on their faces, then turn around a walk away! Jesus did not "unite" even one village. Rather, He divided villages! Some accepted Him, and others did not. Moses did not "unite" the Tribes of Israel--they were already a people. Moses "saved" the Israelites from bondage in Egypt. Muhammad did not unite tribes, but He started a new tribe, the Muslims, who battled the pagan Arab tribes.
Not "one" of the Baha'is I have questioned since 1981 has told me the REAL reason Jesus came! Jesus came to offer His blood on the Cross "as a ransom for the sins and iniquities of all mankind." (Gleanings p.100). This is why 'Abdu'l-Baha called Him "the very Savior of man." (PUP p.63). Baha'u'llah wrote:
Leprosy may be interpreted as any veil that interveneth between man and the recognition of the Lord, his God. Whoso alloweth himself to be shut out from Him is indeed a leper, who shall not be remembered in the Kingdom of God, the Mighty, the All-Praised. We bear witness that through the power of the Word of God every leper was cleansed, every sickness was healed, every human infirmity was banished. He it is Who purified the world. Blessed is the man who, with a face beaming with light." (Gleanings 85-6)
Jesus came to shed His blood in order that the "soul of the sinner" is sanctified. The Hebrew word for "sanctify" is Qadosh, and means "to be separated from uncleanliness". Somehow, the blood of Jesus "washes" the soul of the sinner clean. Without such sancification, then the soul cannot escape Nawsoot (the Material/physical Realm) where the Sun burns and wares-out the skin, and where we experience pain, sorrow, disappointment, injustice, persecution, disease, deformity, aging, and death. Nawsoot is the Realm of the Material Planets:
"Know thou that when the Son of Man yielded up His breath to God, the whole creation wept with a great weeping. By sacrificing Himself, however, a fresh capacity was infused into all created things. Its evidences, as witnessed in all the peoples of the earth, are now manifest before thee. The deepest wisdom which the sages have uttered, the profoundest learning which any mind hath unfolded, the arts which the ablest hands have produced, the influence exerted by the most potent of rulers, are but manifestations of the quickening power released by His transcendent, His all-pervasive, and resplendent Spirit.
We testify that when He came into the world, He shed the splendor of His glory upon all created things. Through Him the leper recovered from the leprosy of perversity and ignorance. Through Him, the unchaste and wayward were healed. Through His power, born of Almighty God, the eyes of the blind were opened, and the soul of the sinner sanctified.
Baha'is will say, "Oh, this is true of all the Prophets! What is true for one, is true for all!" No! The missions of the Prophets are not all the same! Each has "a definitely prescribed mission" to perform.(Gleanings p.51). The distinct Mission of Jesus was to atone for the sins of all mankind. Not via His Teachings, but via His Blood shed on the Cross. That is what the Gospels say. That is what the Epistles of Paul say. That is what the Holy Writings of the Faith say. But, the Baha'is say that Jesus came to "unite cities" and to "improve the status or minorities and women" and to "preach peace and tolerance" and to "write a book of holy laws" but NONE of these things are mentioned in the Holy Texts nor even in Pilgrim's Notes! Then.... Why do Baha'is believe them? These are Baha'i "Myths" that have entered the Faith, and myths are untruths, and untruths have no part in the Religion of God.
All souls do not go on to the Spiritual Kingdoms at death. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Ted Bundy, and Saddam Hussein are not sitting around a camp-fire singing "Koom bye yah" together with Mother Teresa, Ghandi, Jesus and Baha'u'llah in the Unseen World! Those souls who are not "saved" (born again) in this life do not go to the Spiritual Realms at death, but they go are "nowhere near this planet" (Daily Lessons Received at Akka, p.36). to again experience a mortal life. There is no reincarnation back to "this" material planet (SAQ chapter 81). The Unseen World (Spiritual Realms) surround us, as we surround the plant kingdom but he planet kingdom cannot see us. However, "evil souls" do not go to the Unseen World, but they go "nowhere near this planet". They remain in the Material Cosmos, the Seen World, which is Hell. But souls that are not "born again" (saved) in this life, return to the Material Realm, which is the meaning of Hell-fire; the place were the Suns burn the skin, and where we experience pain, injustice, sorrow, separation of loved ones. To be "saved" means to be "saved from" the Material Realm (Hell); which are the material planets, one mortal life per planet. This is the meaning in the Qur'an when it says:
![]()
"And when their skins have been worn out by hell-fire We shall give them new skins in order that they may continue to feel the punishment." (4:56)
In other words:
"And when their skins (bodies) have been worn out (age and die) by hell-fire (the UV rays of the Sun), We shall give them new skins (new bodies) on another material planet, so that they may continue to feel the punishment of the Material Realm which is Hell."
The Kingdom of Heaven are the Spiritual Realms. No unclean thing can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven (Spiritual Realms):
37 And I say unto you again that he cannot save them in their sins; for I cannot deny his word, and he hath said that no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of heaven; therefore, how can ye be saved, except ye inherit the kingdom of heaven? Therefore, ye cannot be saved in your sins. (Alma 11:37, from The Book of Mormon)The Kingdom of Heaven are the Four Spiritual Realms; one of which is forever closed off (Heyhoot) to all but the Essence, but three (Lawhoot, Jawbawrroot, Mawlawkoot) of which human souls can enter. Therefore, the soul must be "washed clean" (sanctified) by the blood of a Manifestation of God. Not "all" of Them, and not "any" of Them. Jesus was "unique" among the Manifestations of God in that He was a combination of the Holy Spirit and the WORD of God. In other words, in Him the World of God and the World of Creation "met". Jesus was the Word incarnate (John 1:1-2,14). The WORD is not from the World of God, but from the World of Command, which is between the World of God and the World of Creation. The Command of God is the "Be!" when Allah said "Be!" and the Cosmos left into existence.
Jesus was the WORD incarnate. The WORD is not a Prophet! The Prophets come from the World of God. The WORD comes from the World of Command. But the Spirit entered Jesus at His baptism, and "begot" Him as a Father. The Spirit is Baha'u'llah. Allah begets not, nor is He begotten. The Spirit is the Father Who "begot" the Son.
Mirza Mihdi died in order that the Baha'is could again enter the Presence of Baha'u'llah. Jesus, the Son of Jehovah (Who is NOT Allah--Jehovah means "Self-Existing" in Hebrew--one of the 99 Names of Allah in the Qu'ran), died so that all souls "might" (not shall, but might) become "clean" and enter into the presence of the Father. Jehovah is the Father, Who dwells in the Realm of Divinities (Lawhoot). Baha'u'llah was the incarnation of the name YHWH in Hebrew, or al-Qayyam ("Self-Existing") in Arabic. This is why The Báb named His greatest book al-Qayyammu'l-Asma' ("The Self-Existing Name"). This is the "Greatest Name".
Jesus was NOT sent to preach peace and tolerance. He was not sent to improve the status of minorities and women. He was not sent to "unite cities" (whatever that means--no Baha'i can explain it to me!). He was NOT sent to write a book of Holy Laws. He wrote no book! He was sent to offer His blood as an atonement for the sins and iniquities of mankind; so that our souls may be sanctified (washed clean). No! Not "all" Prophets do this! The mission of the Prophets are not all the same! If Baha'is ever reach to effectively teach Christians, they must understand the true Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: to be the Savior of our souls, our Personal Savior, or, as 'Abdu'l-Baha called Him, "the very Savior of man" (PUP 63)--a title that 'Abdu'l-Baha did not clothe any other Messenger with.
Before Baha'is can successfully teach Bible-believing Christians, they must accept the following Christian Principles:
1) Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit and a literal virgin.
2) Jesus could and did perform literal physical miracles such as walking upon water, changing water to wine, calming a storm, multiplying fishes, etc.
3) Jesus' shed blood on the Cross was an atonement for the sins and iniquities of all mankind, and those who believe in Him as their Savior have their sins washed away by His blood.
4) The Gospels are reliable historical narratives from beginning to end.
5) Jesus arose literally from the dead and appeared to His disciples for forty days after His being raised form the dead (not in a physical body, but in His Spiritual Body). Please read THE EMPTY TOMB: The Metaphorical-Only View versus the Spiritual-Body View of the Resurrection of Christ (14 pages) at:

Baha'is must read "The Empty Tomb" if they ever hope to be able to effectively read Bible-believers!
CONCLUSION
All souls that are not "born again by the Fire of the Love of God" in this life, do not go to the Unseen World (Spiritual Realms) upon death. Rather, they go "nowhere near this planet" (Daily Lessons Received at Akka, p.39); meaning another material world--again to experience pain, sorrow, injustice, separation of loved ones, and death. Souls continue to experience mortal lives in the Material Realm (Hell) until they are "born again" (saved!). We are not "born again" simply by agreeing with the 12 Principles and signing a Declaration Card. We are born again when the Holy Spirit "changes" (transforms) our selfish "human soul" into an unselfish "angelic soul". One does not have to be a "Baha'i" in order to be "born again". Many people in other religions have been "born again". Many Baha'is have never been "born again".
Heaven refers to the Spiritual Realms:
Heyhoot (Realm of the Essence)
Lawhoot (Realm of the Divinities)
Jawbawrroot (Realm of the Powers)
Mawlawkoot (Realm of the Angels)
A soul that reaches the Realm of Mawlawkoot is called an "angelic soul". A soul can also become a "Powerful Soul" or even a "Divine Soul". The Manifestations of God were Divine Souls. The Chosen Ones are Powerful Souls. The Holy Ones (i.e. those who have been born again) are Angelic Souls.
No unclean thing can enter into the Spiritual Realms (Kingdom of Heaven); so all "unsaved" souls are not to be found there. Unsaved souls are "damned" in the Material Realm; where the "rays" of the material Suns burn and ware-out the skin; causing aging, disease, deformity, and death.
Jesus was not sent to write a book of Holy Laws. He was not sent to improve the status of minorities (i.e. such as the Canaanites) or women. He changed only two laws: divorce and Sabbath, and neither of them favored women or minorities. He did not come to preach peace and tolerance. He did preach love and forgiveness.
'Abdu'l-Baha was allowed to preach at Unitarian-Universalist Churches in Europe and America; because these were the only churches that allowed Him to speak. Naturally, some Unitarians were attracted to the Faith, and became Baha'is. But, unfortunately, they brought their "Unitarian Jesus" with them! The Unitarian Jesus produced no real miracles. He died, was buried, and that was the end of Him. He did not appear to anyone after His death, as the Gospels report.
It is time for the Friends to give up the "Unitarian Jesus" who came to unite cities, write a book of laws, improve the status of minorities and women, and who preached peace and tolerance. The REAL Jesus did NONE of these things! Not even ONE! The REAL Jesus did not even unite one village. He wrote no books. He referred to Canaanites as "dogs" (as other Jews) and did not improve the status of women. He said, "I have not come to bring peace, but a sword!". The "Unitarian Jesus" did not do any literal miracles. The REAL Jesus did. The "Unitarian" Jesus was defeated by the grave, but the REAL Jesus conquered the grave! The "Unitarian" Jesus is a DEAD Jesus! The REAL Jesus is alive and living! It is time for the Friends to GIVE UP the "Unitarian" Jesus for the REAL Jesus of the Gospels! The "Unitarian" Jesus never existed! He is the figment of the imagination of sinful arrogant men. The REAL Jesus existed, and He came for one purpose only: to shed His Blood as a ransom for the sins and iniquities of all mankind (Gleanings, p.100).
If the Friends cannot accept those Five Christian Principles, then they should simply ___FORGET___ about attracting Bible-believing Christians (and Mormons, and Jehovah's Witnesses, and Seventh-day Adventists, and Traditional Catholics), to the Faith. Forget it, now, and forever. As long as the Baha'is remain 'clueless' as to why Jesus was sent, then the Faith will continue to hold no appeal, but only complete and utter revulsion, to Bible-believers worldwide. Thank you.
